Brooks Ghost 17

TL;DR
Owners treat the Ghost 17 as a reliable, well-cushioned daily trainer that comfortably handles easy miles, long runs, and even half marathons. Most find it soft and supportive with a pleasant step-in feel, though several note it's on the heavier side and prefer something faster for racing. A few longtime Ghost fans feel the redesign changed the shoe and found the toe box narrower than expected.

Noticeably higher stack than either the 15 or 16 (which my wife has a pair of) with a lower heel-toe drop, but really comfy and good support without feeling like you’re running on springs.

I loved my Ghost 10s, but after trying on the Ghost 17s, I’m disappointed… they feel like a completely different shoe. The toe box feels narrower, and the shoe overall feels shallower.

The Ghost 17s were too narrow in the toe box and made my toes bleed so I’m back with wave riders.

I went for a long run today with the new shoes and everything seems fine so far. I know it's considered a somewhat boring shoe, but I liked the step-in feel and haven't had a pair of Brooks in quite a few years.

My last month has been on Brooks Ghost 17 and Hoka Clifton. No one wearing these shoes have won 6 NBA ships, nor were they the GOAT of NBA...but my feet only hurts when I first wake up, but the pain does away after some stretches. The cushion on these runners has been crazy compared to 4's (introduced in 1989), stability and energy return have been good as w

my Ghost 17s got me through two half marathons without any issues. 325 miles in them being my daily trainers and race shoe. I don’t really know anything else but they’ve been great for me.

Ghost 17s are excellent as a base running shoe; use them for 80% of my runs; would recommend buying a super shoe for racing/ speed sessions though

I have the ghost 17 and use them for long runs. I think they have plenty of cushion! They are a bit heavy for a marathon I think but a great shoe!

I have the 17s and have completed half marathons with no problem.
