“Honestly, not a clear upgrade up from the triumph 20/21 to me (I’ve ran in two pairs of triumph 20s).”

“I mean the triumph isnt meant to be a speed shoe. I think nowadays with some of the do it all type shoes released we think every shoe should feel as if it has a slab of race foam.”
“The Triumph 21s have different foam similar to the one in the Ride 18s, the 22s have the same foam as the Endorphin Speed line, that’s why you found the 21s to be stiffer.”
“I bought the Triumph SG model yesterday when I noticed the sale. I couldn’t find any reviews or comments on the SG models. All the regular 22’s were sold out in my size.”
“When I tried out the 22s, I sized down a half size, as the Saucony rep said they ran a bit longer and wider than previous versions. They felt like my normal size. I would probably order the 8.5.”
“Sacony confirmed that while it’s the same underlying foam compound, it’s tuned quite differently to the PWRRUN PB in eg the Endorphin Speed 4 and Endorphin Pro 4”
“I have 5 pair of the 22’s .They have varied a touch, some being slightly longer and some shorter. However, they have all fit similarly to the 20 and 21’s.”
“I don't have any experience with the 20s but I don't know that the Triumphs have gradually been gaining weight over the last few years so I imagine the 20s would be a good 10-15g lighter than the 22s at least.”
“I don’t disagree with you generally, but it sounds like their triumphs have 500 miles on them, so it’s very possible recent pains were caused in part by the shoes. Although they don’t look overly worn in the photo”
“Had great runs in Triumph 20/21 but these feel different. I alternate and have a road marathon coming up trying to decide between both 22s...”
“Are these good speed shoes? It seems whenever I get good speed shoes, they’re too hard or too soft. Struggling to find a happy medium”
“I had this exact problem with NB 880s. I loved them at first, but the rubber wore through and the foam collapsed in under 300 miles. I just bought these and hoping to get some good durability out of them for a few training blocks.”
“The 22 is more of a true easy day shoe The ride 17/18 are the same foam as the 20/21, but with 8mm drop on the rides vs 10mm on the T20/21. I've logged a bunch of miles on my T20 and 21 and will be going with Ride 18 on my next shoe.”
“Yeah, I feel like they will do great on gravel. The exposed foam will get chewed up a bit, but it shouldn't affect performance.”
“Do they soften over time and become more responsive? I had a pair but they were so stiff and unresponsive I didn’t love them”
“I’ve only done one easy run and, well, they’re easy run shoes. Can’t say enough after like 6miles. I’ll probs do a post next week when I get some more miles in. I’m a shoe geek with too many in the rotation so sometimes it takes me a bit”

“I do think the midfoot to forefoot is more firm than the heel. I'll try to do some midfoot strikes and report back!”
“Hi! I’m looking to get a pair. Would you agree with OP that the shoe fit was not true to size as previous models?”
“Thanks! First run felt slightly firmer with similar bounce. Really curious if it will break in after more runs. Also considered the Skyward X, but wanted a non plated daily trainer and couldn't try it on at any nearby stores. I'm hearing good things about it.”
“The 22’s are much more stable due to the wider base but also much heavier.”
“Any additional thoughts two months in? I just came home with the triumphs today and I have some nerve pain in my feet. They’re feeling a little hard but I’m hoping they’ll soften up. I already had to return the Hoka Bondis, super hard and a very high arch support that really hurt my feet.”
“anyone know if the Triumph 22 also have the 30/40 core? Just saw these photos of the plus as well: https://www.depop.com/products/eyecandy78-nwt-saucony-triumph-plus-sneakers/ https://preview.redd.it/0vuz0kjrhrdc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6bc21442887e4cf5a724e52b1fa35eac52cc6bb”
“The Triumph 22 has 7mm thick memory foam inner soles which contribute little to the energy return. The energy return is improved and weight reduced by replacing the memory foam inner soles with the TPU inner soles from another pair of Saucony shoes. The Triumph 23 has "super responsive" inner soles.”
“Triumph 22 is 300 grams in us 9. Weighed it last week.”
