“I have U-tec Ultraloq Pro smart deadbolts. I haven't actually used or even carried keys in years (now that I think of it... Where did I even put those keys?). And for anyone wondering, three locks would all have to fail at the same time without any warning for me to be locked out of the house. Not going to happen.”
“You get the basic lock/unlock command, and you can set/clear codes, but I think that's it. I'll try to mess around with it more later tonight, but I don't think you can get any more detail than that.”
“I tried Alexa but can't integrate it in routines :( An Alexa routine won't allow me to unlock the lock. I want to push a button to open my door and not shout a code (especially when guests are present).”
“I have the Pro, it can be managed remotely. I have it set up to connect to WiFi via a hub, I'm not sure if cellular access is possible but I doubt it.”
“My u-bolt pro with wifi bought thru Amazon arrived with its keyway matching my schlage door knob's keyway. Each key slid completely into the other. Local locksmith rekeyed the ubolt to the doorknob for $10, np.”
“I've discovered that Ultraloq's pin spacing isn't standard to Schlage keys, however, I've found that the Prime Line E 2103 cylinder perfectly fits inside the Ultraloq and I'm now able to re-key the new cylinder to match other Schlage cylinders!”
“I'm new to HA and have an Ultraloq U-Bolt Pro. How did you get the Ultraloq to show up in your HA integrations?”
“Good question. I did use the app for setting up users/codes so I don't know if that's possible in HA. I've only used it for the basics in HA so far like locking/unlocking and lock status. There is a battery sensor, and also a door open/close sensor.”
“Using the Z-Wave integration. It pulled right in. Be sure to put it in pairing mode like any other device.”
“Unfortunately, the necessary entities aren't made available for Keymaster to function”
“However, while the ubolt works fine on its own, it doesn't seem to want to connect to the hub. (From the hubs standpoint, it seems to be working, does the correct LED flash pattern), but from the app it says it can't connect due to a security error. https://imgur.com/YOJncvL”
“It was possible to unlock the door but impossible to lock it. Technically this is okay since the key would only ever be used to unlock the door in case of malfunction. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that until i ground off part of the tailpiece to allow the lock to function normally.”
“Did you have to do anything special to get lock/unlock working? I just got mine paired with Z-wave, and I have controls in HA to lock/unlock it, but the controls don't work, plus it's not reporting locked/unlocked status. Did you do a secure inclusion? Is that required to be able to lock/unlock?”
“They’re totally independent. While it’s a bit less convenient to have to define everything multiple times, it also means that your locks don’t have the delay associated with authenticating to a server somewhere in Ashburn and you can still unlock them if you’ve lost power or are having network issues.”
