“I had this exact problem just now in firmware version 01.01.11 The fix to switch it to Celsius and then set it to 0 degrees C worked. I updated the firmware to version 01.01.12 and have successfully switched it back to Fahrenheit and able to set it to 32 degrees F instead of 89.6 degrees F.”
“I replaced it last year with the anova precision cooker 3.0 last year and that broke already (just over 1 yr, screen and all functions stopped working).”
“I have a 3.0 and am having this same issue right now, which is why I found this thread. Sad to see it's a real issue and I'm not just doing it wrong.”
“Build feels reassuringly dense. The body is brushed plastic over what feels like a metal chassis; the touch panel has a positive click”

“When I told them that, they suggested getting an RMA for a warranty replacement cooker. So, props to Anova I guess, but also... man does this ever look like a firmware issue. I'm on firmware 01.01.11, for the record.”
“Was really disappointed after upgrading to the 3.0 that I can no longer use this for defrost. Which seemed ridiculous.”
“The two-line display showing both time and temperature simultaneously seems minor but proves invaluable”
“heating an 8-quart stockpot to 130°F for steak took just under 20 minutes every time”
“I almost ruined a turkey because I set it to 0 and came back to 90° water”
