although the PBP2 are not the best at anything, they do everything pretty well and nothing terribly. I kept them over Sony, Technics, Samsung, Bose, OnePlus, Huawei, Jabra, Anker.

I can genuinely say you're wasting your money if you ever need to use that microphone for anything. Other than that they've worked exceptionally.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

The biggest issue I have with these is the microphone quality. For example in a Discord voice call I get alot of complaints that my friends don't hear me at all.

I think I have a defect set. Mine have been through a full wash cycle. Fallen from about three stories and rolled down a hill. They still work.

Reddit▲ recommend

I have had them for one year. None of the problems you described. They are the first (and so far only) buds i have found that fit my ears and they are rock solid in there.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

It feels as if the buds are physically expanding inside of my ear causing a cut off to any air that goes into my ear, leaving me with an immense feeling of pressure in my ears eventually causing headaches.

Reddit▲ recommend

I have pro 2 and zero complaints I've used them since release, between working out, shop work, hunting ,and work calls they stay in, sound good

Reddit— neutral

I like everything except the onboard controls. It's super easy to bump them just barely the wrong way and do something completely different.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

the Buds Pro 2 are a complete waste of money. The sound is crap, they keep falling out of my ears, and the integration with the phone is absolute garbage.

Reddit— neutral

They are fine for just sitting at a desk but any type of movement I prefer the a's. Sound is much better on the pros but fit is #1 to me

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

but it's extremely annoying considering that I might just pop my buds back into the case for a quick moment just for them to be unable to connect again.

Reddit▲ recommend

I cannot stress the comfort and ease of listening, including Google Assistant integration, when just running the dog around the neighborhood.

Reddit▲ recommend

I have a pair of AirPod Pros 2 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 and I like the pixel buds better. They sound better and have better noise cancellation.

Reddit— neutral

I like them but I've had two pairs break in the exact same way, the case just stops charging at all and the entire unit becomes a brick.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

everything falls apart only once I try to use them with anything but my pixel 9 pro xl. Google customer support doesn't really offer help.

Reddit▲ recommend

Conversation detection and head gestures to attend or reject calls is also a cool feature to use too . They were quite useful sometimes

Reddit— neutral

I prefer the buds as they are more comfortable and less obvious that I'm wearing them. Sound is really good too, very similar to Airpods, but only issue I have is it won't connect to my HP PC but will connect with my macbook pro.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

I didn't even get into the stutterring, digitized sound effects that randomly occur for no reason... just another "beta feature", I guess.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

There is so much issue as well, I've never seen so many threads with disconnects, static noise, not turning off and ear detection issue.

Reddit— neutral

Pixel Bud: not the best in my opinion. Sound isn't as crisp and using the controls are a bit awkward and difficult to get used to.

Reddit▲ recommend

I just bought the Pixel buds 2 pro after using the Airpods 2 pro and love the Pixel Airbuds more. Great noise cancelation, great sound and they seem to be more snug in my ear than the Airpods which have fallen out a few times.

Reddit— neutral

I love my Pixel Buds Pro 2, but I have no clue why Google put a speaker in the case with no way to "ring" it in case you lose it.

Reddit▲ recommend

Mine are rock solid in my ears and I never have to give them so much as a tiny push back into place even during vigorous exercise.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

I went through three pairs, switched to samsung buds in the end and the best part is I dont have to worry about them falling out

Common problems & things to know

Practical notes owners raise — setup, quirks, and issues to watch for. They don't say whether the person likes the product, so they're not counted in the score, but they inform the pros, cons, and who it's for.

Redditⓘ good to know

The helmet isolates a little bit. I do have to turn it up. You want to hear some ambient traffic noise so you know what's around you to react, so these strike a nice compromise IMO

Redditⓘ good to know

Mine survided a ride in the washing machine last week. 40 degress and 2,5 hour ride. They were in my trousers pockets without the case. Couldn't believe they survived without any issues.

Redditⓘ good to know

Does LE Audio work properly on these with a Pixel? Asking because they support it, but, with LE Audio my experience is that doesn't mean shit about whether it actually works.

Redditⓘ good to know

Does Auracast work for you now? Been hoping the firmware update would fix it because rn if I try to enable it it tells me to pair a device with LE support first. Pixel 10 Pro and Buds Pro 2

Redditⓘ good to know

Hopefully they fix the bug where people can't hear me or say I sound like I'm across the room. I'm on my third pair so at this point it suspect it's software related.

Redditⓘ good to know

I noticed the buds and case stay connected to Bluetooth even when I close the case. I think this must be a bug and what's causing the case battery to drain faster.

Redditⓘ good to know

I wish they just had a gesture that pauses and turns on transparency at the same time. And resumes playing plus noise cancelling on the the next gesture activation

Redditⓘ good to know

Yes, Pixel Buds have no issue at all with solo use on either bud. They are also very snappy with starting up music on the other bud as soon as it's in the ear and stopping music when it's taken out.

Redditⓘ good to know

So you can do it! I didn't check in there, I've been asking Gemini or Google Assistant. They can find my phone, watch, or my remote but don't seem to understand any request asking it to find my buds.

Redditⓘ good to know

If I remember right, the discharging is due to one earbud being the main and drawing more power. This is balanced out later by the other one becoming the main and drawing more power after a set time.

Redditⓘ good to know

I'm going to get a set and test these in a data center environment and make some phone calls. Hoping to replace the larger cans where I can't be heard anyway

Redditⓘ good to know

I have the 2a and even they are better than the original Pros. I did not like the sound quality of the originals at all. These sound much better. So I'm going to assume the Pro 2s are much better as well.

Redditⓘ good to know

I'm not hopeful, either. I tried the conversation detection a few months ago and it was firing off way too often. My audio kept dipping in and out randomly.

Redditⓘ good to know

Working in an office with noicy manufacturing coming through the walls I don't see any difference between adaptive and transparency so far. Kind of disapointing but hopefully it gets better after roll out.

Redditⓘ good to know

My case was fully charged and the next time I used it and put my earbuds in case it was almost dead (probably about 3 to 6 days later). This explains why.

Redditⓘ good to know

Why do most reviews seem to say the pbp2 anc is trash compared to ap2. I was thinking of buying ap2 instead heard its not as good using it with an android

Redditⓘ good to know

Ordered a set but will not be here until May 4-5. Will share on the sub after get them how they worked out. Primary use case will be to use while cycling.

Redditⓘ good to know

Interesting, yeah combined with the size they're perfect for that. Any disconnect issues? Mine seem to be finicky--sometimes if I turn my head it cuts out briefly, other times it's perfect for a full charge.

Redditⓘ good to know

Airpods pro 2 are great though. I would have just kept using them but they suck at Ms teams. Also I changed the tips. The fit is much more comfortable

Redditⓘ good to know

I've read that the anc got worse for some people after a software update. I purchased some cuz of the black friday deal so I'm. Curious about it too.

Redditⓘ good to know

I think it also supports LE Audio, which can improve call quality. 50/50 luck trying to enable it though on any given smartphone, it's chronically in beta. Some of the other high res codecs are pretty over-rated.

Redditⓘ good to know

Mine are coming tomorrow! I'm coming from the Pixel Buds A series, so it was time for an upgrade. Lol I'm hoping the bass is a bit better, and I get notifications through the buds (I'll save that for another post).

Redditⓘ good to know

funny enough I was considering this too, but PB3 / PB3 pro should drop sometime this year. might wait for that, but for $60, not a bad deal imo

Redditⓘ good to know

OP or others, how well or consistently does ringing the case work? That would be my main reason for switching to Pro 2 from my A series Thanks
