JBL Flip 6

Based on 44 comments across 2 communities
TL;DR
Most owners love the Flip 6 for its clear, well-rounded sound and rugged, water-ready build, calling it one of the best speakers in its size class. But it's genuinely divided: a meaningful number report bass buzzing at high volume, inconsistent build quality, and outright failures like dead batteries or internal cracks. If you get a good unit it's excellent, but quality varies enough that experiences differ sharply.

39% of 44 verified owners recommend the JBL Flip 6.

The bass (issue) on the Flip 6 which is caused mostly at over 70-75% volume can be sorted using the app-equalizer. So imo the 6 is still the better speaker of the two, overall.

a Flip 6 should be louder than 2 xb100, even though the sound quality at those high volumes is not the best. At moderate volumes, the Fllip 6 has stronger bass and is more crisp/more detailed.

The fabric starts to get loose overtime & if condensation builds inside could cause a short, it's really hit or miss on build quality with some ppl never having any issues & others having loose fabric after one shower

Overall I prefer the sound of the Bose and the overall better bass preformance. But on certain songs the flip 6 does have noticeably better clarity and I’d say it’s because the speaker has a tweeter.

The JBL Flip 6 is a solid update to the JBL Flip 5, and the IP67 rating is a welcome upgrade. It's rugged and durable and won't take up much room in your bag for that weekend getaway or trip to the beach.

The battery dies even when plugged in and suddenly the noise stops playing and the speaker turns off, leaving only the blinking white light.

Grip is warmer, also because it doesn't have a tweeter. But you can reduce treble on the flip 6 as well. It is more powerful than the grip.

I have both speakers jbl flip 5 and 6 and 6 is just better because you can change the settings in jbl portable app to get a better bass then jbg flip 5

I gave away my flip 6 for the Sony cause I liked the clarity the same but imo the Sony has way more bass

I've had experience with the Flip 6. Only thing I liked better was when listening off axis. Probably because of the tweeter.

I have the flip 6 and the bass isn’t as low as I would like, As in frequencies it fails

the flip 6 retains more bass at all volumes compared to flip 7. flip 7 is loud but nasty screechy loud. the flip 6 keeps a good sound at full blast

I just tried the Flip 6 at a couple stores, but I thought too that it was much cleaner and clear than the Flip 4 and 5 that I had heard also.

It had manufacturing problems, air leaks in the type C input, which made it sound bad!

both sound way better than my Flip 6, which I'm giving away to a local pet rescue

the Ult Field 1 seems to have the deepest bass by a small margin, but the Flip 6 feels more punchy

for general audio quality and clarity, the flip 6 is the best sounding small bluetooth i have. I even like it better than my bose flex 2

la flip tiene un poquito mejor el bajo pero la Sony tiene el botón (ult) para aumentar el bass
